What Happened
On July 21, 2026, OpenAI announced a dedicated small business program. It includes free training webinars, in person "AI Academy" events, a library of guides and case studies, and pre built integrations with tools many small businesses already use daily: Shopify, Slack, Dropbox, Atlassian, and Wix, plus invoicing tools similar to Intuit.
The program runs on OpenAI's newest model (GPT-5.6), which already powers ChatGPT Work across every paid tier. According to OpenAI, the company has now passed 10 million combined users across ChatGPT Work and Codex.
What It Means for Your Business
This isn't a new paid product. It's free material for anyone who already uses ChatGPT casually (drafting an email, answering a quick question) but never actually connected it to daily work: invoicing, the online store, customer service.
